See exactly what they see.
View As lets chamber admins impersonate any sponsor to troubleshoot issues, place orders on their behalf, and verify first-rights visibility — all with full audit trails and an isolated cart so your real work isn’t touched.
From the sponsor list, click 'View As' and the whole site switches perspective.
Your working cart is untouched while you browse or order as the sponsor.
Impersonation sessions are timestamped and tied to the admin who initiated them.
What View As is actually for.
View As exists for the four situations chamber admins run into every week — each of which used to require either a shared password, a phone tree, or a screen-sharing session. None of those are good answers.
A sponsor says checkout is broken.
They emailed at 4pm saying 'it won't let me pay.' Instead of asking for screenshots, you click View As on their record, walk through the same cart, and see the actual error. Fixed in 90 seconds — not an hour of back-and-forth.
Taking an order while on the call.
A sponsor calls to renew. You View As them, add the sponsorship to their cart, read back the total, and send the payment link. They confirm on the phone and the order is in their account — not yours, not floating.
Verifying what they can see.
Before the public reservation window opens, you View As three returning sponsors to confirm their first-rights sponsorships are visible and priced correctly. No guessing from the admin view — you see their actual shop.
Walking a prospect through the portal.
A board member asks what the sponsor experience looks like before a pitch meeting. You View As a sample sponsor and screen-share the real portal — not a mockup, not the admin interface pretending to be one.
Behind the curtain.
View As is not a UI toggle pretending to show sponsor data. It’s a real server-side simulation session with its own cart and its own data-resolution path — so what you see is exactly what the sponsor would see.
From the sponsor list or sponsor detail page, the admin hits View As. Chamberly verifies they have the required role and creates a simulation session tied to (admin_id, sponsor_id).
The simulation session gets its own cart. The admin's real cart stays on the server untouched; nothing from it leaks into the View As session and vice versa.
Shop filters, first-rights visibility, tier pricing, purchase history — every data read resolves through the sponsor's identity, not the admin's. You literally see the same thing they do.
When the admin ends the session (or it times out), an impersonation log is written: who initiated, which sponsor, duration, and any orders placed during the session.
A persistent banner at the top of every page reminds the admin they’re inside a simulation, with a one-click escape hatch.
Built for the moments real chambers face.
View As isn’t a gimmick. It’s the feature that turns three separate messy processes — support, phone sales, and compliance — into one clean admin workflow that actually holds up under scrutiny.
Support that can actually see the bug.
No more 'works on my end' troubleshooting. The admin sees exactly what the sponsor sees — including the error, the empty state, or the missing sponsorship.
Sales that can close on the phone.
Take the order yourself and have the sponsor confirm the total. No 'I'll send you a link and you can finish it,' no half-finished carts sitting at checkout for two weeks.
Compliance you can audit.
Every impersonation session is logged with who initiated it, when, for how long, and whether any orders were placed. Board members and auditors get a clean trail on request.
No shared logins ever.
View As exists so no one needs to share a sponsor password. The anti-pattern of 'email me your login so I can fix it' is permanently retired.
Support, sales, and compliance in one feature.
A serious admin tool built for the moments real chambers face — when something's broken, when a sponsor's on the phone, when a board member wants an audit.
